Let me guess. You don’t know what to do with your kids artwork besides smack it up on the fridge with a magnet, but you want options. And by options, I don’t mean getting rid of it and tossing it (I would never encourage you to do that…coughs and clears throat).
I’m talking more about fun ways to display kids artwork because to be honest, you don’t even recognize your fridge anymore and that’s sad.
Maybe your situation has gotten so bad that their artwork is overflowing to other areas of the house.
I’ve been there.
So let’s do something about your situation so that you can have your house and fridge back and you can finally stop feeling so guilty about throwing your kids artwork away (yes, I’ve done it and actually kissed it before I let go into into the garbage can-just to take some of the guilt away…didn’t work).
To avoid all of that (because they did put all that creativity and imagination into their work), here are some fun ways to display kids artwork:
Fun Ways To Display Kids Artwork: Magnets
How about dedicating a whole wall in your kids room to their artwork? Or only use a section of the wall?
You can use magnetic primer to paint your walls (just paint over it with your fave color). Finish it up with some cute magnets and you’ve got an entire wall to hang your kids artwork!
If you decide to just use a section of the wall, then section the wall off with painter’s tape and paint only that section with the magnet paint.
Fun Ways To Display Kids Artwork: Pin It
Maybe paint isn’t your thing or your landlord doesn’t allow it. Whatever the case, use cork squares to display your kids art work.
Hang up the cork squares up on your wall and use push pins to display the artwork.
Fun Ways To Display Kids Artwork: Use Wire
You can also use curtain wire and hang it up on your walls, but instead of curtains, you’ll be displaying artwork.
All you need are some clips and you’re done. Ikea sells this, check it out here.
Fun Ways To Display Kids Artwork: Frame It & Display
Grab a bunch of framed artwork and display it on some shelves. Now you can rearrange the frames in different ways or switch them out easily.
Fun Ways To Display Kids Artwork: Cluster It Up
You can go the old school route and just simply use picture frames, but don’t keep it boring. Instead use colorful picture frames or just spray paint frames that you already have on hand instead of buying new ones and create a gallery wall of artwork.
It’ll make the artwork pop and create a focal point in the room.
Fun Ways To Display Kids Artwork: Create An Album
If you really want to take it back to old school. Back to the days before digital cameras and phones (I just aged myself big time, but you know what I’m talking about!), then you remember photo albums.
Well…why not create one, but using your kids artwork instead. You can digitally upload pics to a site like shutterfly.com and they’ll print an album full of your kids’ artwork. Even better, you can use it to decorate your coffee table or bookcase.
For any of the new artwork coming in because if you’re like me, you have little ones, so that artwork won’t be stopping anytime soon, you can use a box to store it all in.
Now if you’re still feeling stuck with decorating your space & need one on one help to transform your room from boring into a room that you never want to leave, then hit me up here.
