Around Thanksgiving, you’re probably use to seeing a bunch of Thanksgiving decorating tips on Pinterest or the home decor blogs, but before you roll your eyes thinking this is another one of those posts, which I admit, I’ve done here and here.
This year, I wanted to put a spin on things and talk about gratitude.
No matter what we’re going through in life, the good, bad and ugly, we should always find something to be grateful for.
Whether that’s having a roof over our head, family, a job, good health, whatever it may be for you.
Feeling grateful for the things in our lives is something that we should do on the regular.
Maybe you’re use to writing a gratitude list everyday in your journal or maybe you’re like me and just talk to God about what you’re grateful for (this doesn’t make it feel like a chore instead just a conversation – works for me). On this Thanksgiving holiday, let’s put a spin on how to show gratitude, by using home decor.
I’m talking about how to show gratitude on thanksgiving day with home decor.
Not getting what I’m talking about?
Let me show you instead:
How To Show Gratitude On Thanksgiving Day With Home Decor: Tree
I love this idea! This makes a beautiful centerpiece at the table or works nicely on a foyer table for a friendly reminder of all that we’re grateful for.
Spread your gratitude list on pieces of paper and just hang them on the tree. Easy and not to mention, also pretty.
How To Show Gratitude On Thanksgiving Day With Home Decor: Centerpiece
This is a nice way to get everyone involved in practicing gratitude by having them write down what they’re grateful for on a leaf. Just add some fruit or vegetables and you’ve got yourself a special little centerpiece.
This is a cool way to get conversation going at the table and sharing all that we’re grateful for.
How To Show Gratitude On Thanksgiving Day With Home Decor: Jar
This is a classic and one that has been on my To Do list for a minute. (thank God I don’t keep a swear jar because it would so be full lol!)
Anyways, this is a great way to get the kids involved and start them early on the importance of being thankful.
How To Show Gratitude On Thanksgiving Day With Home Decor: Garland
Another dope way to get the family involved with sharing what they’re grateful for.
Leave out some cute paper and have (or make) everyone write down what they’re thankful for and display it on the wall.
